Meet The Team
Lorraine joined the team as a Carer Support Officer in July 2018, previously working for a mental health organisation for 23 years. She feels this experience has given her a wide range of knowledge and very good listening skills, which helps her with her role with carers. Understanding the pressures facing carers and how their caring role affects their daily lives is a large part of the job.
Lorraine has an NVQ 3 in Social Care, Counselling Foundation course training, along with a wide
range of training associated with her various roles.
Lorraine has 4 grown up sons and 6 grandchildren who keep her very busy but when she does have time she loves to go walking and to concerts.
Levi Habashanti is the new Carers Support Officer for The Disability Resource Centre. He joins Lorraine in the team dedicated to helping carers. Levi has been working in the voluntary sector for over 20 years, previously with Mind BLMK and local NHS mental health services. He is very much a “people person” and always practical in his approach, so we are very pleased to welcome him to the team.
