We attracted many local carers from the Luton area to our recent Carers Rights Day event at Luton Salvation Army.
The main aim of the event was to provide carers with a better understanding of their rights. There was also free wellbeing sessions, free health checks plus advice and information concerning wills and probate.
We helped many people to understand what is needed for good wellbeing, what impact stress can have on a person that is a carer and how to minimise the stress.
A highlight was when Total Wellbeing Luton showed how their services can support a carer’s wellbeing.
Total Wellbeing Luton helped with:
· Stopping smoking
· Managing weight
· Being more active
· Having a free NHS health check
· Managing an existing health condition
· Getting support with non-medical aspects of health
· Managing stress, anxiety and low mood
Here are some photos of the event.
