Luton Carers Partnership Board held an online meeting on Wednesday 9th October 2024 from 12:30pm to 2pm.
The meeting was open to unpaid carers and community and statutory organisations that provide a service or support unpaid carers
Attendees included:
Health Watch, Luton Council Care Assessors, East London NHS Foundation Trust, the Commissioner from Luton Council and the team from Carers Central.
Main points that were discussed at the meeting included:
- Stall to promote Cares Rights Day
- Blue badge waiting time coming down
- Producing a guide to energy resources to help those disadvantaged and in a vulnerable in financial crisis
- The Luton Carers’ Handbook is still available to download but will also soon be available in hard copy
- The GP Quality Mark was agreed in principle, and a copy of the proposal that was presented by Carers Central is to be sent to the Commissioners for approval
